Purpose

The primary purpose of this organization is spiritual. To promote and advance devotion to Mary, our blessed mother, never forgetting that as her children. They must trust her words to us to do whatever Jesus tells you. All activities and projects flow from that relationship and mandate.

Membership and Expectations

President: Plan meeting agendas in advance and lead monthly meetings, share service project ideas and coordinate all service activities, and promote events and generate publicity with the club and school.

Vice-President: Assist prefect with planning projects and leading meetings, promote events and generate publicity with the club and school, and track all member activity and meeting attendance.

Secretary/Treasurer: record minutes of meetings, collect dues, and assist with service projects and publicity.

Class Representative (grades 9,10,11): Filter information to all members via phone, flyers, etc., communicate event updates or changes to classmates, and assist senior officers with planning and promoting service activities.Young women in grades 9-12 are eligible. Each must have a “C” average or above. Members must participate in 50% of the years activities to be considered an active member in good standing with the organization. Members who have not participated in activities will not be eligible to be a Sodality officer and will be notified of their inactive status within the organization.

Every member of Sodality is expected to meet the following criteria to maintain an active membership in the organization. Failure to do so may result in removal from the organization.

  1. Pay yearly dues of $5.00.
  2. Attend monthly meetings. Attendance records will be kept for all meetings. Members are encouraged to attend all meetings because this is where your officers will have the opportunity to ask for your opinions and pass along information about club activities.
  3. Participate in 50% of service projects and activities during the year. Records of membership participation will be tracked.
  4. All members are required to be in attendance at the May Procession.
